Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul. She was surrendered to a shelter with her brother, and while he's found his home, Trix needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. Trix is shy and initially fearful of humans due to early undersocialization, but she has never shown any reactivity. When unsure, she prefers to hide in a safe space. She's incredibly observant and learns quickly, figuring out a doggy door in just a couple of days. With patience and trust-building, Trix softens and enjoys playing with toys, running with other dogs, and even cuddling with her people.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around most of the time to provide consistency and help her build trust. She would thrive with a confident canine companion to learn from, though adopters without another dog should have a solid plan for socialization and confidence building.
Ongoing Health
Trix is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Trix is housebroken, loves her crate, and is learning to walk on a leash. She has been around children and was initially shy. Her history with cats is unknown. She is a quiet dog who will need patience, compassion, and commitment to help her discover the world isn't so scary.
