Cara

Cara is a gentle, quiet soul who is just over a year old and is currently in foster in Valentine. She adores other dogs and would benefit from a confident canine buddy in her future home. Cara also gets along beautifully with cats and even ignores the chickens in her foster home, making her a truly easy, animal-friendly companion.

Cara is very shy with new people, but once she feels safe, she absolutely blossoms! She loves bedtime snuggles, happily joins you on the couch, and enjoys treats, toys, and the comfort of a peaceful home. She’s happiest living the homebody life where no one expects her to be social or entertain guests.

Ideal Home

A calm home with one or two patient adults who can give her time to settle in. Due to her shyness, a home with no young children is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Cara has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on core vaccines.

Training & Support

Cara may be a little unsure in brand-new environments, but with gentle introductions and a bit of understanding, she warms up beautifully. She typically trusts dogs right away. Her foster says she is incredibly sweet, fun, and deeply affectionate once she bonds with her person. Her energy level is easygoing, with playful moments here and there, and she loves sleeping in bed and being close to the people she trusts.
