Bear is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old, 60-pound pittie mix with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's a confident, people-loving guy who meets the world with enthusiasm and curiosity. Bear is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved! He shines brightest with his people skills, is genuinely loving, and enjoys being part of whatever you're doing, whether it's active engagement or just lounging nearby. Bear is already house and crate trained, making him a pre-programmed superstar!
Ideal Home
Bear is an active and engaged dog who would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his size or playfulness. He has shown signs that he could live peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident cat, provided introductions are slow and careful.

Bear is up to date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and microchip.
Training & Support
Bear is still in the last stretch of his puppy days, and while he's responsive and eager to learn, he will need continued guidance. On leash, he needs help managing his excitement when he sees other dogs. He can be a bit pushy in play with other dogs, but he is respectful once he gets to know them. With structure, proper introductions, and the right dog match, he will be a wonderful playmate.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
