My name is Josh, and I'm a 7-year-old, 77-pound bundle of lovable squish with soulful brown eyes and what my foster calls "the happiest wiggly butt in town." While I may not be a puppy anymore, I offer the best parts of a dog: I'm past the chaotic puppy stage but still full of life, love, and goofy zoomies that are sure to make you laugh. I was rescued at the very last minute, and since then, I've been dedicated to showing everyone what a good boy I am. I appreciate the simple things: a comfy bed, a stuffed toy to carry gently, a game of fetch in the yard, and calm car rides with the windows cracked for sniffing. I sleep soundly through the night and wake up eager to remind you that you're my favorite part of the world. Affection is my specialty; I'll lean into you with my whole body, sit with my back against your legs for neck scratches, and offer my big brown eyes if the petting stops too soon. I'm described as sweet, gentle, smart, and incredibly loyal. I'm eager to please, food-motivated, and know several commands because making my humans happy is my greatest joy.

I thrive in a calm, safe, and predictable environment. I do best as the only pet, as the world can sometimes feel overwhelming to me. I'm looking for a person who will throw my toy one more time, doesn't mind me following them from room to room, and wants a best friend as much as I want a family.
