Elmo

Elmo is a sweet, resilient, and quietly brave 10-month-old Great Pyrenees mix. He came to us after a traumatic injury where a bullet became encapsulated near his spine. Thankfully, specialists have determined that removing it would be riskier than leaving it be, and it does not impact his quality of life. Elmo is healthy, comfortable, and expected to live a long, happy life. He greets the world with trust and calm, ready for a safe home with soft beds and plenty of snacks.

Ideal Home

Elmo would do best in a home that understands he doesn't need to be an adventure athlete to be a wonderful companion. He enjoys walks, his people, and his canine friends. He is good with other dogs and loves people. While he showed some mild interest in cats, dog-savvy cats would likely be fine. We recommend children over 10 or sturdy kids who can understand Elmo's medical needs. He does not need to be a pony.

Ongoing Health

Elmo has a bullet lodged near his spine that has become encapsulated. Specialists have advised against its removal due to the risks involved. This condition does not currently affect his health or comfort, and he is expected to live a long, happy life.

Training & Support

Elmo is a young dog who will grow into a large adult. He enjoys his walks and companionship.
