Brownie

Hi there! My name is Brownie, and I am a 2-year-old, 20-lb Miniature Poodle. I was pulled from the euthanasia list at a shelter in Yonkers, NY, and I'm now in a foster home in Ansonia, CT, looking for my forever family. I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and healthy – I'm ready for my second chance at happiness!

I'm a smart and loyal boy who bonds deeply with my people. While it might take me a little time to build trust, once I do, you'll have a devoted companion. I can get a bit mouthy when excited or overstimulated, but with consistent guidance and clear boundaries, I learn quickly. In return for your patience, you'll get true devotion and my sweet, sensitive poodle nature. I love gentle pets, holding hands, and snuggling up close – I'm definitely a velcro poodle!

Ideal Home

I would do best in a calm, adult-only home. If there are other dogs, they should be calm and not overly boisterous.

I am healthy and have been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I'm housebroken and don't need to be crated when you're away. I respond well to structure, consistency, and clear boundaries, especially regarding my mouthing behavior.
