Meet Ivan, the iconic, muscle-jock marshmallow with big ears and an even bigger heart! This 1.5-year-old, 50-pound goofball is all wiggly enthusiasm, silly charm, and sweet, squishy pittie/staffy-mix good looks. His giant radar-dish ears make him look like a curious little deer. Ivan absolutely loves life, especially toys of all kinds, and he plays fetch with gusto, though he might occasionally decide to keep the toy for himself! He's also a big fan of water and will happily chase a hose. Ivan is affectionate and warms up quickly, melting into his people for belly rubs and snuggles. He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playing but can also set clear boundaries. He needs a feline-free household as he views cats as fun sprinting targets. Older children who won't be knocked over during zoomies would be a great fit, though he could learn to give younger children space with time. A home with a yard for him to burn energy, an active adopter, and someone who enjoys training and play with clear boundaries and routine would be ideal.

Training & Support
Ivan loves other dogs and is a great playmate, though he can get a little too excited at times. He responds well to guidance from his people or other dogs to take breaks. While he can be a bit much for mellow or insecure dogs, he was respectful of a confident female dog's cues. He could learn to give little ones space with time.

Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You can track his journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
