Miss Mango is a spayed, nine-year-old girl, weighing 65 pounds, who is thought to have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in her. She was rescued in June 2024 from terrible living conditions in Mexico. Her front right paw was missing at the time of rescue, likely amputated, but this has not slowed her down one bit! Miss Mango is a half-glass-full kind of gal who loves a nice, calm stroll through the neighborhood or a relaxing walk along the beach. She is super affectionate and loves to be with her family at all times. Her infectious happiness has been known to rub off on anyone who meets her. She also enjoys tasty treats, napping on the fluffiest blanket, sunbathing in the grass, and being by your side at breweries, coffee shops, and restaurants.
Ideal Home
Miss Mango would thrive in a mellow home with plenty of human companionship, as she is still working through some separation anxiety and isn't quite ready to be left alone for more than 1-1.5 hours at a time. She adores kids and is a gentle, loving companion. She would prefer a home without crates. While she can be selective with other dogs, she tends to do better with smaller pups and would need a slow and gentle introduction to any new furry friends.
Ongoing Health
Miss Mango was rescued with her front right paw missing, likely amputated. She uses her front left paw and two hind legs to walk and is a trooper!
Training & Support
Miss Mango is fully bathroom trained and an easy leash walker. Crates worsen her separation anxiety, but she's made great progress uncrated and hasn't been destructive when left alone. She needs continued support to help her separation anxiety.
