Hi there, I'm Niko! I'm a handsome 3.5-year-old, 72-pound Black Labrador Retriever mix with a zest for life and a love for all things water. If there's a lake, river, or even a puddle, you can bet I'll be diving in! I'm a fully grown pup but still have a playful spirit, so I enjoy toys and chew bones. I'm also quite the explorer and would love activities like nose work to keep my brilliant mind engaged. I was rescued from a tough situation and am incredibly grateful for my foster family, now I'm dreaming of my own forever family to shower with affection.

Ideal Home

I'd be happiest in a home with a nice, securely fenced yard where I can explore and relax in the sunshine. While I get along well with other dogs, especially puppies, I can get a bit too excited around cats, so a cat-free environment would be best for me. I also get a little nervous in crowded public places like stores, but I'd love an expansive park or a quieter outdoor spot for adventures.

Ongoing Health

I'm a healthy boy! My adoption fee covers all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), spay/neuter, and microchip.

Training & Support

I'm a well-behaved boy and generally don't bother my people at home. I'm not as food-motivated as some Labs, but I'm definitely affectionate and love to snuggle. I'm eager to explore the world with you, whether that's hiking or camping.

Transportation

I'm currently in South Texas and can be transported to my new adoptive family. Our organization places pets in homes across the United States and Canada, with specific transport routes to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other states on the East and West Coast.
