Tubbs

Tubbs is the shy adventurer of our shelter—picture a gentle explorer who tiptoed into our lives as a stray, unsure of the world but secretly hoping it might surprise him with kindness. At first he studies new people like a cautious detective, taking his time before deciding they’re trustworthy, but once he warms up, he transforms into a sweet little shadow who leans in for pets and gives soft tail wags like tiny cheerleader pom poms. He strolls politely on walks, politely ignores toys like he’s "above all that," and handled his food test with total gentleman manners. During his dog meet, he gave a polite sniff and then basically said, "Cool, cool—anyway," and went back to doing his thing. With a patient home, a slow intro to any new dog friends, and a bit of confidence building, Tubbs is ready to star in his next great adventure—one where he finally gets to be someone’s beloved buddy.

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff.

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
