Meet Rex, a handsome four-year-old silver-gray Pitty or Staffy mix with a heart as big as he is! He has the softest face, sweetest eyes, and a charming white chest spot that gives him a dapper, tuxedo-like appearance. Rex is a gentle giant who truly goes with the flow, approaching life with an easy, joyful attitude that makes him a pleasure to be around. He's described as a "big soft house hippo who knows how to chill" and loves nothing more than to entertain himself with toys, sniff around, or simply relax nearby.
Ideal Home
Rex would thrive in a home that appreciates his calm and affectionate nature. He is already living happily with small children and is incredibly gentle and patient with them. He also does wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and would be content as a solo dog if that's a better fit for your household. While he hasn't been fully introduced to cats, further testing can be arranged if he seems like the right match for your home. Rex is very apartment-friendly and his needs are simple – a few walks, some sniffing time, his favorite toys, and plenty of affection.

Rex is a very good boy! He is fully potty trained and crate trained. He enjoys his daily leash walks and walks nicely when moving, though he's happy to pause for a good sniff. He is treat-motivated and eager to please.

Rex is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
