Meet Jersey!

Jersey is a stunning 8.5-year-old White Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart full of love and a spunky soul. She has beautiful off-white fur with bronze accents around her ears and captivating brown eyes that will melt your heart. Despite her slightly more mature body, she still has the spirit of a racehorse and enjoys long walks and hikes. Jersey is a tomboy at heart and is fantastic with kids, matching their energy with her observant, patient, and gentle nature. She used to enjoy playing with other dogs, but she's content being with her humans as her primary focus now.

Ideal Home

Jersey would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention or with a calm, older dog who doesn't require constant play. She's great with kids and loves being part of the family. A home with a yard or patio where she can relax would be ideal. Because she can be vocal when left alone, a house rather than an apartment is best. She's not a big fan of her crate.

Ongoing Health

Jersey takes trazodone when she is left alone or during storms, as they can be a source of stress for her. She also has a sensitive stomach and can only eat fish-based dog food and treats.

Training & Support

Jersey is a smart girl who can get into things she shouldn't, so a well-dog-proofed home is essential. She's a counter surfer, so keep food and tempting items out of reach. Her garbage and recycling bins will need to be secured. While she has learned to tolerate cats with significant training, she still has a tendency to chase them, so a home without cats is preferred. Like many Huskies, she can be vocal.
