Meet Tucan! He's a playful, smart, and incredibly affectionate pup who was found abandoned and waiting for help outside a hotel. It's clear he's had a tough start, but now he's healthy, joyful, and ready for a loving, committed home. Tucan thrives on interaction and builds strong bonds with his people, always looking to them for guidance. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and breeds and enjoys shared adventures. Once his energy is channeled, he's happy to relax by your side for some quality downtime.
Ideal Home
Tucan is best suited for a home that can accommodate his need for space, like acreage, a farm, or a ranch. He is not a fan of small or enclosed spaces. Due to his energetic nature and size, he is not recommended for homes with small or young children.

Training & Support
Tucan is an energetic and intelligent dog who thrives with structure and stimulation. He is not recommended for first-time dog owners or those without prior training experience, unless they are highly committed to learning and providing consistent guidance. His high play drive requires a handler who understands how to work with energetic dogs.

Transportation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We arrange for transport to the US and Canada. Approved adopters in the US and Canada will meet their new companion at the airport, facilitated by flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border.
