Poppy is a charming brindle babe with an adorable underbite and a signature happy hop! She's estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs about 64 lbs. We believe she's a boxer and pittie mix, but more importantly, she has a wonderful personality! Poppy can be a little reserved at first, taking her time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she's a happy and bouncy companion. She enjoys short bursts of playful energy followed by cozy lounging. Her zoomies are delightful and brief, perfect for a quick laugh before she returns to her sniffing adventures.
Ideal Home
Poppy would thrive in a calmer home where her people appreciate her relaxed pace. A house with a yard would be wonderful, but she may also be content in an apartment with sufficient daily exercise and enrichment. Poppy is looking for a cat-free home, as her curiosity towards cats was a bit too intense during introductions.
Ongoing Health
Poppy has no specific health conditions mentioned. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, which typically covers vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.
Training & Support
Poppy is a champion "defluffer" of stuffed toys, so if you provide toys, be prepared for them to be disassembled with enthusiasm! Durable toys are recommended. She showed herself to be comfortable with calm, respectful dog friends in playgroup and would prefer a buddy who respects her space and plays gently. She was decent on leash and generally focused on her surroundings.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs.
