Meet Louie, a sweet French Bulldog who is just under 4 years old and has already been through more than most dogs ever should. Louie came to us after living with paralysis for more than six months. After advanced imaging and consultation with a neurosurgeon, we learned that surgery was unlikely to restore his mobility. While we continue to support him with physical therapy and treatment, Louie will likely remain paralyzed for the rest of his life.
However, Louie didn't get that memo! This 25-pound little guy is learning to cruise around on wheels and continues to show us every day just how resilient he is. We will provide his adopter with a custom-made wheelchair fitted specifically for Louie, so he'll be ready to roll into his new life.
Despite everything he's been through, Louie is one of the sweetest, most loving and easygoing dogs you could ever meet. He loves his people, but Louie also LOVES to play with dogs his size. Because canine companionship is such an important part of his happiness, Louie must have another similar-sized female dog in his forever home to be his companion and playmate.
Ideal Home
Louie would do best in a home without stairs and is perfectly content being carried when needed. More than anything, he is happiest curled up beside someone who loves him.
Ongoing Health
Due to his paralysis, he does not have full control of his potty habits and wears a diaper. We will ensure his adopter fully understands his care and knows exactly what to expect.

Louie is located in South Mississippi, with transport available (for an additional fee) to approved adopters in the Northeast.
