Jakey Baby The Lab Everyone Loves

Jakey Baby is a sweet and gentle boy with all the best parts of a Lab! He's approximately 9 months old and weighs 39lb, with a gorgeous, deep chocolate brown coat and stunning hazel eyes. Jakey has a shy charm that makes him incredibly endearing, and once he opens up, he's goofy, playful, and loves his toys. He's a smart pup who enjoys learning and has already mastered "sit" and is crate and appears to be potty trained.

Ideal Home

Jakey would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can play and relax. He'd do best with a calm, friendly, and socially well-mannered dog who can offer reassurance and gentle invitations to play. He would also be happy as the only pet in the home.

Ongoing Health

Jakey is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms and treated if needed.

Training & Support

Jakey is working on his leash skills but already knows basic commands and is eager to please. He is crate trained and appears to be potty trained, though he may need a little guidance in a new environment. His initial shyness around new dogs may involve tucking his tail, showing his teeth, or a small bark, but this is his way of processing and he quickly becomes comfortable with kind and patient introductions.

Transporation

Jakey is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs.
