Meet Petunia! This adorable 11-month-old Lab mix puppy is a sweet, social girl who loves people, dogs, cats, and being part of an active family. She comes from an area with a high rate of homeless pets, where shelters are unfortunately unable to keep all the puppies they rescue. By choosing to adopt Petunia, you're not only saving her life but also creating space for another dog in need. Petunia is playful, curious, and affectionate, fitting right into her foster home with multiple dogs, a cat, and young children. She's great at reading other dogs' cues and is a respectful companion. Petunia adores people and loves being part of the family's activities, whether it's playing outside, especially in the snow, or cuddling up for affection. She has a wonderful balance of puppy energy and sweetness, enjoying playtime and cozy naps. She's been gentle and affectionate with the children and comfortable around the family cat.
Ideal Home
Petunia would thrive in a home ready for the adventures of raising a puppy. She would love a family of any size that enjoys spending time together, whether it's playing in the yard, going for walks, or relaxing at home. Ongoing Health
All vetting is included in the adoption fee, which includes vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injection, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Petunia is still young and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Implementing routine, structure, boundaries, and proper socialization from the start is essential. We require adoptive families to crate train their puppy immediately upon arrival, which helps with potty training, energy management, and developing a well-balanced adult dog.

Transporation
Petunia is currently fostered in the Indianapolis, IN area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
