Lobo is a stunning 2-year-old husky who weighs approximately 56 lbs. He was found roaming the streets of South Texas, starving and with significant hair loss, but thanks to a sanctuary, he's now healthy and ready to find his forever home! Lobo absolutely loves other dogs, big and small, and enjoys having conversations with everyone. He's mildly active, enjoying time outdoors for runs and sunbathing, but also loves relaxing inside with his people. Lobo is very loyal and will cuddle up next to you. He's crate trained and knows the word "kennel." With consistency and patience, he'll learn other commands easily, as he's very smart. He also enjoys car rides! Despite being vocal, Lobo is the biggest sweetheart and welcomes strangers with open paws.
Ideal Home
Lobo would do best with someone who loves the outdoors and can spend plenty of time with him. He thrives when he has a companion and doesn't like to be left alone.
Ongoing Health
Lobo was treated for multiple skin infections and is now much better. He is heartworm positive and has received the 30-day course of antibiotics. He needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. He is fixed, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and up-to-date on de-wormer. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Lobo is crate trained and knows the word "kennel." With some consistency and patience, he will easily learn other commands.

Transportation
Lobo is currently located in a sanctuary in South Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. Animals are transported from Texas to the Central US and the East Coast every 2-3 weeks. Transport stops include locations in NY, VT, NH, CT, OH, PA, NJ, MD, and VA. The adoption fee includes transport to these locations. We work to ensure the animal is a good fit for your home, and with an approved application, you will be put in touch with the foster to confirm the fit.
