Tuquita

Tuquita is a spirited young sato, a charming mix of Lab and Feist, who's eagerly awaiting her happily ever after! This sweet 4-year-old female weighs around 29 lbs and is ready for a life full of adventure. Tuquita is a social butterfly with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. While we haven't had the chance to see her with cats or children, we're happy to discuss strategies for integration with potential adopters. Originally from Puerto Rico, Tuquita is now at our South Carolina shelter and dreaming of a foster or forever home in the DC area to begin her new life.

Ideal Home

Tuquita is looking for a home where she can truly thrive. As a sato, she has had a major transition to make and will need committed humans who understand the importance of socialization. She would do best with a resident dog or a family that can provide plenty of opportunities for her to interact with other dogs through regular walks, visits to the dog park, or doggie daycare. Tuquita is eager to explore the world with her people, enjoying sniffy walks and park romps, and would love to go to dog school to show off her smarts. Above all, she longs for a safe and loving place to belong for all her days.

Tuquita is approximately 4 years old. She currently weighs around 29 lbs, and might be slightly underweight.
