Hold onto your hats mother puppers, I'm blasting through!

My name is Petey, and I'm a playful and affectionate goofball with a big heart, though I'm still working on my manners! I can get a bit overly excited when I receive attention and tend to get a little too enthusiastic with my greetings. My shelter pawrents are helping me learn to be gentler, as I can sometimes bulldoze through rooms like a wrecking ball. I'm told I have a beautiful heart and love everyone I meet, but I do engage in some naughty puppy behaviors like jumping and nipping when overstimulated. I'm very food-motivated and eager to learn, and I'm ready to find my forever family who can put in the work to build a bright future with me!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a home with mature teens and adults, as I can be a bit much for younger children. I haven't had the easiest time with other dogs due to my in-your-face personality, but I might do well with a large, female dog after a proper introduction. I absolutely need a home without cats or small dogs.

Training & Support

I'm still learning to be gentle and can get overexcited, leading to jumping and nipping. I'm also working on leash manners and other basic commands, as I didn't have much training in my previous home. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will be key to my success!
