Meet Oscar!

Oscar is an 8-year-old, 11-pound Yorkshire Terrier with a heart full of hope. He's a handsome, laid-back boy who is learning what it means to be a cherished family member after a challenging start in a puppy mill. Oscar enjoys relaxing at home and exploring the backyard. While he's not a fan of crates, he's doing well when he has the freedom to roam and currently uses a belly band. He would be delighted to have a confident canine friend to help him build trust with people.

Ideal Home

Oscar would do best in a quiet home without children, as sudden movements and loud noises can startle him. He needs a securely fenced yard as he's not yet comfortable with leash walks. He hasn't been tested with cats.

Ongoing Health

Oscar is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Oscar can still be unsure about human touch and isn't a big cuddler. He prefers to build trust at his own pace and will thrive with a patient adopter who understands that love and security take time.

Transporation

Oscar is located in Watertown, WI, with his foster family. We do not have a physical shelter.
