Lluvia is a sweet and playful 8-month-old, 16 lb Labrador mix with a happy, energetic personality. She loves to run, jump, and play, especially with her favorite toys like bright, fun dog balls. Lluvia is social with other dogs, men, and women, and is friendly with strangers, approaching them with curiosity and confidence. She enjoys affection and happily accepts pets and cuddles. Lluvia has not shown any aggressive behavior and, while she may approach new situations with caution, she is never aggressive and does not bite. She is ready to grow, learn, and share her life with a forever family.
Ideal Home
Lluvia would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a home with a fenced backyard. She is looking for a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, including their need for protection and education. Ideally, her new family will have experience with dog behavior and training, or be willing to hire a trainer. She requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Lluvia has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and is microchipped. She has also been dewormed, tested for 4DX and heartworm (both negative), and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm). She has a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Lluvia is not house-trained, as is common with many rescued puppies. Her rescuers emphasize that patience and understanding are crucial for rescued dogs who may have experienced trauma. Building trust and a strong bond will require time, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries.

- If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover vet care, vaccinations, microchip, food, and more.
Transportation
Lluvia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Our contracted transport company will escort pets across the border into Texas for US adoptions, or to the nearest US-Canada border for Canadian adoptions, with all necessary legal documents, including a Transport Contract, Health Certificate from the USDA, and health protocol certificates. Adopters will be added to a private Facebook Messenger group for real-time updates on the pet's journey, including photos, videos, feeding and cleaning schedules, and Estimated Time of Arrival. The transport fee is $400 USD.
