Meet Jake! Jake came into our care when his owners could no longer care for him, but he is ready for his forever home! When Jake initially came into our care he was very shy and unsure of us, but with some TLC and patience, Jake has blossomed into a social dog that loves to be by people. He's the ultimate leaner and will put all his body weight on you, demanding all of your love and attention. Jake loves people so much that he can sometimes get a little stressed when he's alone, so he'll need an owner with a little patience who is willing to work with him on this. Don't worry, in return, he'll give you endless cuddles. Jake is considered to be one of our special care adoptions due to being heartworm positive, so he would need to go to a home that help him limit activity for the next couple of months to ensure that his treatment can do its job! Heartworm may sound a bit daunting, but we cover the cost of treatment! He's already in the midst of it and he's responding wonderfully!
