Meet Duke!

Duke is a handsome 4-month-old German Shepherd mix who currently weighs 20 pounds and is a little underweight. He's a playful, curious, and affectionate puppy who has already been through more than he should have. Duke was adopted from a local shelter but was returned because the resident dog didn't accept him. He was then passed to another person, and sadly, ended up abandoned. Thankfully, he was rescued and is now safe with us. Despite his tough start, Duke remains a sweet and loving boy with so much to offer. He's eager to learn and will thrive with consistent training, plenty of exercise, and a family who can provide the stability he craves.

Ideal Home

Duke needs a stable, loving, and committed forever home. We are looking for adopters who understand the time, patience, and lifelong commitment required to raise a puppy. All decision-makers in the home should be in agreement about adopting. Adopters must be over the age of 21.

Ongoing Health

Duke is a bit underweight but will be thriving with good food, love, and stability.

Training & Support

Duke will need continued training and plenty of exercise to grow into the amazing dog we know he will become.

• Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue will contact you so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

Transporation

All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes and will be transported north after adoption. Our adoption fee includes transport to the New England area. Pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.
