Meet Brody – a 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix who's the perfect blend of adventurous spirit and cuddle-buddy charm! Brody is a lovable goofball who enjoys outdoor escapades just as much as a cozy day on the couch. He’s even happy to don a festive costume for fun! He's a gentle soul who does well with friendly, laid-back female dogs and has been good with children. Because of his energetic nature, a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8-10+) who understand respectful interactions is ideal. Brody would love a canine companion to play with, but he's also content as the one-and-only pup in the household, as long as he has a secure backyard for zoomies. He’s not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must.

Brody would thrive in a home with a secure backyard where he can run and play. He does best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and would prefer a home without cats. A family with older, dog-savvy children (8-10+) who are steady on their feet and know how to interact respectfully with dogs would be a great fit.

Training & Support
Brody is housebroken and crate trained, and he walks calmly on a loose leash. He's smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. While he’s made great progress in his obedience skills, he can still get a little excited around assertive male dogs. With calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he continues to show great adaptability. He would do well in a home experienced with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. Daily walks, light adventure, and activities like scent work, agility, or basic obedience classes will keep his mind sharp and his bond with you strong.

Transporation
Brody is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas. He is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Transports run every few weeks. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
