Garfunkel

Garfunkel is a sweet senior German Shepherd who came to us in rough condition. Despite everything he has been through, he remains sweet-natured, cooperative, and appreciative of attention. We made room for this boy because we knew he deserved a chance. We are still getting to know Garfunkel and will share more information as it becomes available.

Ideal Home

As a senior dog with multiple chronic conditions, Garfunkel would greatly benefit from a quiet setting where he can receive continued care and the comfort he deserves.

Ongoing Health

Upon intake, Garfunkel was found to be heartworm positive, underweight, suffering from dental disease, osteoarthritis, dermatitis, and multiple masses. Since then, he has been receiving antibiotics, wound care, and supportive treatment. He has been started on slow-kill heartworm treatment and has responded remarkably well to all treatments. His medical needs are manageable.
