Meet Django!

Django is a bright, two-year-old mixed breed with a sleek black coat and white accents. This medium-sized boy, weighing around 50 pounds, is a smart and active companion who forms deep bonds with his people and celebrates their return home with enthusiasm. He loves to cuddle and lean in for affection, but also thrives on adventure. Django adores toys, especially for games of fetch, and enjoys walks, runs, and swimming. He's an intelligent dog who enjoys training and knows many cues, using positive reinforcement to keep his mind engaged.

Ideal Home

Django would thrive in a quieter, child-free and cat-free home, likely as the only dog. An active family who understands reactive dogs and enjoys training would be a great fit.

Ongoing Health

Django currently takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety.

Training & Support

Django experiences fear-based reactivity around unfamiliar noises, unexpected distractions, or dogs on leash, requiring thoughtful management and a predictable routine. He has a history of resource guarding with another dog around food, toys, or personal space, and there was one minor nip incident involving an unfamiliar person. Meeting guests outside first and allowing him to warm up helps him feel secure. Continued behavior support with an experienced pet parent is recommended.
