Meet Nikki! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 50lb Lab mix is a true survivor, rescued from a county shelter the day she was scheduled for euthanasia. Her happy smile says it all – she's incredibly grateful for her second chance! While we're not sure of her exact past, it's clear she experienced mistreatment, as she can be timid around new people, but her sweetness always shines through. Nikki is fully vetted, spayed, and house-trained. She's a medium-energy girl who loves to play outside with her canine friends, but she's also a quiet presence in her crate, which she adores as her safe space. She enjoys playing in the water and, once she trusts you, she becomes a very loving companion. Nikki has made incredible progress and enjoys cuddling on the sofa or in bed. She rides well in the car and has never shown any inclination to escape.

Ideal Home

Nikki needs a home with a yard where she can play and explore. She would enjoy the company of another dog, but she'd also be happy to be the center of attention. Nikki cannot live in an apartment.

Nikki is fully vetted and spayed.

Training & Support

Nikki is house-trained and crate-trained; she views her crate as a safe haven. She walks on a leash but can be a little timid. Nikki is not destructive and has never shown food aggression.

Nikki is currently located in Texas. She will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter is found.
