Baxter

Baxter is a charming 6-year-old Lab/Pit mix with a heart full of love to give! He's searching for a new family after his current one is moving and can no longer keep him. Baxter is super friendly and adores people, making him a wonderful companion. He's also great with kids and cats, and is already house-trained and crate-trained, so he'll settle into your home with ease. He’s not much of a barker and has a polite way of letting you know when he needs to go outside by whining and pacing. Baxter is up-to-date on vaccinations, and his neuter appointment is already scheduled! He has a great balance of energy for adventures and a love for lounging on the couch with his favorite people.

Ideal Home

Baxter would do best as the only dog in the home, as he is not good with other dogs. He should also not be placed in a home with chickens.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is up-to-date on vaccinations, and his neuter appointment is already scheduled.

Training & Support

Baxter can be strong and excited on a leash at first but settles down once he gets some energy out.

• The application process includes a vet check for current and recent pets (must be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm prevention for at least 6 months of the year).
• Cats must be triple tested.
• A background check is required.
• A video home chat of you, your family, and your current pets is requested.
• If all previous steps are cleared, a meet and greet will be scheduled.
• All pets are vaccinated to age, spayed/neutered (or it's scheduled), and microchipped.
