Meet Rosey! I'm a 3-year-old black and tan Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail, weighing in at a lively 65 pounds. I'm affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal. After a bit of a bumpy journey, I'm so ready to find the forever home I've always dreamed of!
I'm a high-energy girl with a heart as big as my enthusiasm. If you're active, love the outdoors, and want a canine companion who can keep up with your adventures and then snuggle up with you at the end of the day, look no further! I absolutely adore running and playing, and my love for my people is fierce. Dobermans are known for being "velcro dogs," and I'm a prime example – I want to be wherever you are, doing whatever you're doing. This means I need a home where someone is around to spend quality time with me. My past experiences have shown me that I thrive with a present and attentive owner, and this is key to my happiness.
I'm a sweetheart with everyone I meet, including adults and children. I've had wonderful interactions with kids in both my foster home and previous environments. People are my absolute favorite, and I'm always eager to be by their side.
However, I do need to be the only dog in the household, as I can be reactive towards other dogs. This is an important aspect of my needs, and a home without other pets will allow me to be my happiest and most well-adjusted self.
Ideal Home
I need a home where someone is present and can provide consistent companionship. Ideally, my adopter will have experience with Dobermans or other working breeds and be physically capable of handling an energetic dog. A consistent and structured environment will bring out the very best in me.
Ongoing Health
I am a healthy girl, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
I know basic commands like "sit" and "lay down." I'm also crate trained and potty trained, and I'm a champ in the car! My main area for growth is on-leash manners. I can be a bit strong and reactive around other dogs when walking, so this is a work in progress.
