Blessing and Nina are a bonded pair of sweethearts who love nothing more than to be with their people, receiving endless pets and snuggles. Blessing, a 5 1/2-year-old, 5lb Chihuahua, and Nina, an 8 1/2-year-old, 14lb Chiweenie, are looking for a home where they can continue to share their affection. They are friendly with dogs, cats, and children aged 10 and up. These two enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like exploring a secure fenced-in yard and basking in the sun. They have never been apart and their foster family hopes to keep it that way!
Ideal Home
Blessing and Nina need a home where someone is present often and they won't be left alone for long periods. A secure, fenced-in yard is a must for their outdoor adventures. They thrive with plenty of love and attention, and should be allowed on the furniture to relax and cuddle with their family. Homes that do not meet these requirements should not apply, as the foster family will be prioritizing applicants whose homes align with these needs.
Ongoing Health
Blessing needs to gain a little weight to reach a healthy level. Nina, on the other hand, needs to lose some weight. Nina also has Microphthalmia, a congenital condition where her eye is sunken and small due to genetics. No treatment is needed for this condition. Both Blessing and Nina are spayed and neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Both Blessing and Nina need some work on their house-training, but they are successfully using pee pads. They will need at least two weeks in their new home to settle in and adjust without visitors. This adjustment period is crucial for them to build trust with their new family and environment.
