Malouk

Meet Malouk! This distinguished gentleman is a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul, a loving heart, and so much quiet companionship to give. He came to us after his person passed away and sadly wasn't getting the care he needed afterward. Now, he's ready to find a home where he can truly be cherished.

Malouk is blind, but his resilience shines through as he navigates life, still enjoying his favorite things: walks, naps, and treats! He can even get a little playful spark now and then. He's incredibly friendly with people and has a soft spot for children, making him a wonderful, gentle presence.

Ideal Home

Malouk thrives in a calm, low-key environment where he can feel safe and settled. He would be perfectly happy as an only pet, but he also does well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand he can startle easily due to his blindness.

Ongoing Health

Malouk experiences some anxiety due to his blindness, but he does very well with calming medication and a consistent routine.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained, though he may mark indoors, and belly bands have been a simple, effective solution. He will also need continued leash training as he can pull when excited or unsure. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.

Transporation

Malouk is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it's the perfect fit.
