Goldie

Goldie is a lovely and sweet Hound (and Lab?) mix with an approximate DOB of February, 2024. She is a bit shy at first meeting, but quickly warms up. Her name definitely suits this girl -- she has a heart of gold and has quickly become a shelter favorite. Goldie came to us from a rural shelter. With all the changes she has experienced, it's no wonder she is initially timid. Thanks to our dedicated and compassionate volunteers, Goldie is learning to trust and is enjoying her new adventures. She is a perfect size, seems to like other dogs, and is easy to walk on leash. She appears housebroken, but shelter dogs are required to wait longer than most to go outdoors and quickly adapt to a consistent schedule. A volunteer recently took Goldie home and said, "She's sweet as can be. She is very attached to her caregiver and already knows how to use the doggie door." Add smart to Goldie's list of attributes!
