Mason

Mason is a 6-month-old, 32-pound Miniature American Shepherd mix who came into our care on June 11. He spent his early puppyhood in a concrete kennel, uncertain of new things like leashes and crates. When worried, he would urinate submissively, but with time and patience, he learned to trust. Today, Mason is a confident pup who happily goes into his crate for meals, has integrated well with other dogs, and responds when called. He's an eager learner, keen to please his people, and loves toys, splashing in the doggy pool, and wrestling with his foster friends. Mason can also be called "May May," "Maybe," or "Maybe Baby."

Ideal Home

Mason would thrive with an adopter experienced with young dogs or eager to continue his training. A confident, playful canine companion would be a great addition to his home. He needs a securely fenced yard to expend his puppy energy. He would prefer a cat-free home.

Ongoing Health

Mason is fully vetted and on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Mason is crate-trained and house-trained. He is also trustworthy when left out of his crate for short periods. He is looking for a family willing to continue building his confidence.

Transporation

Mason is located in our rescue. For out-of-state adopters, Mason can travel safely with one of our trusted transport partners. We adopt to multiple states to help each dog find the perfect forever home.
