Panda is a shy but sweet 2-year-old Pittie mix who weighs around 50 pounds. He's a mellow boy who loves his toys, chew bones, and daily walks. Panda thrives on routine and structure, and his patient adopter will be rewarded with unconditional love. He's known to be a great companion for other dogs, especially playful females, and draws confidence from his canine friends. In his previous foster home, Panda did well with children aged 5 and up who were respectful and gentle with him. He enjoys snuggling up on the couch or in bed with his humans and is also kennel-trained and house-trained.
Ideal Home
Panda would thrive in a quiet, serene suburban or rural home. He needs to be in a home with at least one other dog, but we do not recommend him for homes with cats. He does well with children aged 5 and up, as long as they are respectful and sweet.
Ongoing Health
Panda is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been tested for heartworms and treated if necessary.
Training & Support
Panda is still learning about life with humans and a stable home. He bonds with his people through walks and is great on leash. He's also a seasoned professional passenger and settles well in the backseat of cars. He will require a patient adopter who will allow him a full decompression period, and our behavior team and foster mom will be available to provide guidance.

Transportation
Panda is currently located in Texas and can be transported to various states across the US, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada. Transport is available via USDA licensed vehicles with 24/7 care. Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transport.
