Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! She's a playful, affectionate, and incredibly loyal companion who loves to be by your side, earning her the nickname "velcro dog." Whether you're looking for a cozy night in or an exciting adventure, Vanna is ready to be your partner in crime. She has medium energy levels and would be a fantastic addition to an active home. Fetch and walks are her jam, and she's a pro in the car, making her the perfect travel buddy. Vanna is also a trustworthy girl who can free roam in the house when you're not around, as she's not destructive and simply wants to be near her favorite humans.
Ideal Home
Vanna would thrive in an active home that can provide her with structure, reassurance, and plenty of affection. She's best suited as the only dog in the home. While she can be playful with very well-matched, larger dogs (around 90 lbs or more) who don't have resources to guard or compete over, she can sometimes be reactive on leash towards other dogs, especially smaller ones. Vanna is reserved with strangers at first but warms up to be friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space and boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. She has experienced significant trauma and is actively working through challenges, including resource guarding issues with food, toys, and people.
Training & Support
Vanna needs continued support with leash manners and is still polishing up her potty training, as she has occasional accidents. She is crate trained and has a lot of potential to continue growing with patience, consistency, and understanding.

Transportation
Vanna is currently located with a foster. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
