Sue

Sweet Sue is a 3-year-old, 45-pound bundle of love looking for her forever home! Sue was found as a mama dog with her pup, Della, in the country, but it's clear she once knew the comforts of a home, as she's a well-behaved and house-trained girl. She's described as gentle, affectionate, playful, and enjoys a good cuddle session after playtime. Sue is also a quiet girl, rarely barking. She’s up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative.

Ideal Home

Sue enjoys the company of other dogs and has done well with the five dogs she's living with. She's been affectionate with the female adult in her foster home and friendly towards men and children she's met. While she can be a little shy meeting new people, she warms up quickly. Sue is comfortable in her crate and okay being left alone, and she enjoys car rides.

Ongoing Health

Sue has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia. This means she may have been exposed to or infected with ehrlichiosis in the past, but she is currently asymptomatic and has been treated with a course of doxycycline. She may continue to test positive for exposure for some time. Prospective adopters should consult with their veterinarian if they have any questions or concerns about this medical history.

Training & Support

Sue is working on her leash walking skills and may pull, so she would benefit from some additional training to help her master this. She is a smart girl and has kept her crate clean.
