Duke is a sleek, handsome 38-pound fella who is ready to be your ultimate hang-out buddy. We think he's a blend of Pointer and perhaps a dash of Border Collie, making him the ideal medium size—sturdy enough for a hike but compact enough to not take up the entire bed (though he might try!). Duke is a smart cookie who is crate trained and has a gold star in potty training, with no accidents to date. He's also a gentle and patient soul with kids, and he's been great with other dogs of all sizes, loving to play chase in the backyard. While he can be a solo star, he'd love a home with a fur sibling to help keep the games going.
Ideal Home
Duke is a backyard enthusiast who dreams of having his own fenced-in kingdom! He would thrive in a quiet neighborhood with a lush, sunny yard where he can perform his daily victory laps. A busy apartment life with noisy hallways and elevators is a bit too much for his chill vibe. While he's been great with other dogs, we're not sure how he feels about cats yet, so a kitty slumber party would be arranged to ensure he's ready to share his space.
Ongoing Health
Duke is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments and flea prevention. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Duke is already crate trained and is a star with potty training. He loves to play and would benefit from a home that can continue his socialization and provide him with enrichment activities.

Transportation
Duke is located in Texas, but we facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
