Moose

Meet Moose! He's a 1-year-old, 85-pound Doberman and Pittie mix with a heart as big as his body. Moose was rescued from a high-kill shelter when he was just hours away from losing his life. Thankfully, he's now safe and ready to find his forever home where he can continue to blossom.

Moose is a gentle giant who can be a little shy around new people, especially men. He takes a little time to warm up and build trust, but once he does, he's incredibly affectionate and devoted. He loves chin scratches and head pets and will happily try to become your personal lap dog! Moose walks well on a leash, stays close by your side, and is learning to focus even with distractions. He absolutely adores other dogs and is great at making new canine friends. He's crate-trained and does well when left alone for short periods, though he'll be overjoyed when you return!

Ideal Home

Moose would thrive in a home with patient humans who understand that building trust takes time. A dog sibling would be a wonderful addition to his life. He's recommended for homes with children 8 years and older due to his size.

Moose is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Moose is a work in progress and a good student. He's learning to be more confident in new situations and would benefit from continued exposure to various environments. He can be nervous around strangers, so a slow introduction is key.
