Rosa

Rosa is an approximately 7-8 year old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) who is the absolute sweetest girl and loves hanging out with her humans. Rosa loves her neighborhood walks and is easy to walk, making her a great companion for a family looking for a calmer dog. She came into rescue overweight but has done a fantastic job losing weight and just needs to stay on measured feedings and a regular exercise plan. Rosa has even become more playful and adept at ball play! When Rosa first came into rescue, it was discovered she had a bladder full of stones – 200 to be exact! This required immediate surgery to clear the stones. She will now require a special prescription diet for the remainder of her life to prevent stones from forming again. She has been the best dog in her foster home and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. She is house-trained and prefers to be loose in the house, where she does well.

Ideal Home

Rosa would love a family that is looking for an easy-going, laid-back companion, content with getting belly rubs, sunbathing on the porch, and taking leisurely walks around the neighborhood.

Ongoing Health

Rosa will require a special prescription diet for the remainder of her life to prevent bladder stones from reoccurring.

Training & Support

Rosa is house-trained and gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. She is described as easy to walk.
