Whisper

Whisper is an agile and affectionate 1-year-old, 38-pound shepherd/lab mix who is struggling in the kennel environment and urgently needs a full-time foster. Before arriving at our rescue, Whisper had the chance to experience life in a foster home and even enjoyed a "straycation" weekend. He is crate-trained, working on house-training, and loves to play! Whisper enjoys playing with toys and is learning to engage with other dogs, so a well-socialized canine friend would be a great addition to his home. He's a smart cookie who sits for treats and is mastering new commands. Whisper also loves to snuggle with his volunteers after a fun-filled day.

Ideal Home

Whisper needs an active home with plenty of daily exercise and continued training. He's an athletic dog who would excel in agility and would love a nice yard to explore. He would do best in a home with adults or families with children ages eight and up. He may be able to live with other animals of a similar energy level, and we're happy to arrange a meet and greet.

Whisper is in good health.

Training & Support

Whisper is already crate-trained and is learning to be house-trained. He is working on his play style with other dogs and would benefit from a patient and experienced canine companion to help him learn. He is eager to please and is learning multiple commands.
