Lola

Meet Lola! This sweet girl was found on the highway between La Cruz and Punta Mita in Mexico. She bravely fought through ehrlichia and mange, and today she is thriving! Lola is loving, calm at heart, and so ready for a home of her own. She has been at the shelter for over three years and truly deserves more attention and a chance at family life. If you are looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a big heart, Lola is your girl.

Ideal Home

Lola would shine with an active person who loves adventures. She is best with teens or adults, as quick movements from small kids can scare her.

Ongoing Health

Lola has a history of ehrlichia and mange, but she is currently thriving.

Training & Support

Lola can get stressed in the shelter environment and may guard toys. She walks okay on a leash but prefers attention over walking. She is good with other dogs, though she prefers to be the alpha.

Transportation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters will be matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border.
