Meet Eliza, a petite and perfectly wooly Husky who's ready to find her forever home! Eliza's journey began at animal control due to an unfortunate incident involving chickens. Because of this history, she cannot be placed in a home with cats, fowl, or any other small pets. Despite this past, Eliza is truly a dream dog! She's housebroken, non-destructive, crate-trained, and incredibly affectionate. She's also wonderfully dog-friendly, often making you wonder how such a gem ever ended up in a shelter. Eliza is a smaller Husky, weighing under 50 pounds, and her beautiful wooly coat will need regular grooming to keep it in top condition. She has a high energy level and thrives with plenty of exercise and an active lifestyle. Eliza absolutely adores the company of other dogs, particularly those who enjoy a good wrestling match. While she's not a fan of overly "mouthy" Huskies, she's excellent at navigating doggy social cues and choosing appropriate playmates. Eliza is affectionate, social, and happiest when she has a person to follow and a predictable routine. She truly has no concept of personal space and is eager to be your constant companion! She's smart, sweet, athletic, and the perfect adventure buddy. If you're looking for an active companion and can provide a home without small animals, Eliza is the one for you!
