Meet Chanel, a brave and resilient terrier mix, about 3 to 4 years old. Chanel's journey began in a crowded New Mexico shelter where she was sadly abandoned and faced a euthanasia list. Terrified and shut down, she was brought to Texas to begin her second chance. Since then, she has blossomed into a happy and energetic dog who even donates blood to help other animals in need! While her transformation is remarkable, she's still working on building trust and learning to play. Chanel is looking for a patient family and a canine friend to help her feel safe and loved. She enjoys soft squeaky toys but can be startled by loud noises. She is still learning how to play and can be a bit flinchy when hands approach too quickly, so a gentle and understanding environment where she can take things at her own pace is essential for her to finally feel truly safe.

Ongoing Health
Chanel is a blood donor, showcasing her good health. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations (DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies). She is also on flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Chanel is still working through past trauma and can be flinchy. She needs a gentle environment where she can learn to trust at her own pace. She is learning to play with toys and enjoys soft squeakers. Continued training and understanding will help her blossom.

Transportation
Chanel is located in Angleton, Texas. Transportation is available to VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI, MN, and OH. AZ is coming soon. There are predetermined pick-up locations and times. The adoption and transportation fee ranges from $100-500. Private custom transport routes and destinations are available upon request at the adopter's financial responsibility. For Texas adopters, there is a flat rate fee of $250 for in-state transportation. For adopters picking up at our Angleton, TX location, there is a $75 fee which includes all vetting. Transport is provided on air-conditioned buses or vans with onboard attendants providing 24-hour care, and adopters can follow their pet's journey on a private Facebook event page. Our Adoption Coordinator will help you find the closest transport pick-up location.
