Bow Wow and Lil Bit are a bonded pair of sweethearts looking for a home to share their golden years. Bow Wow is a 10-year-old Cairn terrier blend boy who loves to snuggle and get ear scratches. Lil Bit is a 13.5-year-old, three-legged Chihuahua girl who is the self-appointed leader and neighborhood watch. They have been together for many years and are inseparable. They are curious, gentle, and a little shy, and their greatest joy is spending time with their humans and each other.
Ideal Home
This bonded duo needs a home without stairs or a pool due to Lil Bit's three-legged status. They would do best in a single-family home where Lil Bit's alert barking at strangers and visitors is appreciated. A fenced yard would be ideal for safe exploration. They can be left alone for a few hours in a secure space. Homes with kind, understanding older children (12+) or homes with no children are suitable. Quiet senior living would also be a great fit.
Ongoing Health
This pair is healthy and up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and recently had dental cleanings. They require monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Bow Wow will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks, while Lil Bit will need regular baths and nail trims that can be done at home.
Training & Support
Bow Wow and Lil Bit are house-trained when kept on a regular schedule. They have good basic manners, walk well on leashes, and tolerate car rides. They sleep in their own beds at night. They are good with small dogs and cats but require slow introductions.
