Meet Jax! This gentle, low-maintenance, and easygoing guy is ready to be your instant best friend. He's an 8-year-old Weimaraner mix who has settled right into his foster home, enjoying short walks and plenty of quality time with his people. Jax is content to lounge and nap in his bed, even when left alone, and he's a quiet boy who sleeps soundly through the night.

Ideal Home

Jax would make a wonderful companion for anyone, especially those seeking a calm, low-key, and easy-going dog. He's gentle with people and children, and while he's good with other dogs, he'll need a slow introduction to new canine friends after his time in the shelter. He's done well with cats in a controlled environment, but can react to neighborhood cats he encounters outside.

Ongoing Health

Jax is a healthy boy with a short coat that sheds very little. He enjoys shallow water and doesn't mind baths or being sprayed with a hose.

Training & Support

Jax walks well on a leash and knows commands like "sit" and "lie down." He's not a destructive dog, eats his kibble without issue, and is food motivated. He's also a champ in the car and comfortable in a kennel when needed.
