Asparagus

Asparagus, or Gus as his friends call him, is a delightful 15 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix with a medium to high energy level. He had a bit of a rough start, arriving at a rural Louisiana shelter with a broken ankle. Thankfully, he received excellent care, including weekly splint changes and radiographs, and has now fully healed! Gus is officially on the mend and proving to be the BEST doggo, full of playfulness, athleticism, and a friendly, funny personality.

Ideal Home

Gus is friendly with other dogs and cats are likely to be okay with him. His experience with children is unknown, so a home without young children might be best while he settles in.

Ongoing Health

Gus has fully recovered from his broken ankle. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on flea and heartworm preventatives. He has also been tested for heartworm, and we will cover the cost of treatment if he happens to be positive.

Training & Support

Gus is house-trained. As a young dog with a med/high energy level, he will benefit from continued training and plenty of opportunities to expend his energy.
