Oscar is a sweet young Labrador mix with a big heart and a joyful spirit. He is approximately 1 year old and weighs 32 lbs. Oscar is very social with children, men, and women, and he builds trust almost instantly with everyone he meets. He loves being around people and enjoys spending time with other dogs. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and his friendly personality makes him an easy dog to fall in love with.
Ideal Home
Oscar would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are ideal. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, noticeable when he is resting. This condition does not affect his happy life or his loving nature. He has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, microchipped, and received a 4DX test and certificate. He also has a negative heartworm test certificate and is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Oscar is not house-trained. It is important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments. Patience, understanding, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries will help build trust and strengthen the bond.

Transportation
Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel. Door-to-door delivery is available for a transport fee of $400 USD. Transportation is carefully planned with scheduled trips 3-4 times per year, involving a partnered transport company that ensures a safe and comfortable journey. You will receive regular updates throughout the journey, and the transport team will conduct a final home review upon arrival.
