BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a sweet, affectionate personality. He loves his people, cuddling, squeaky toys, fetch, outdoor adventures, and relaxing after a day of exploring. His wiry coat is very low-shedding, and he could be a wonderful companion for an active family.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along with other dogs, especially female dogs, and is currently fostered with children ages 3 and 5. Because he is large and does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit. He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without them would be best.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and weighs 80 pounds. He receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He is scheduled for a veterinary checkup and health certificate before travel.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained, and he is learning to walk on a leash. He is not destructive and has not been a habitual chewer. He enjoys baths, playing fetch, drinking from the garden hose, and settling down with his humans after outdoor activity.
