Lainey

Meet Lainey! This stunning German Shorthaired Pointer mix is estimated to be between 1.5 and 2 years old and is searching for her loving forever home. Lainey and her precious puppies arrived at our rescue after being found abandoned in the sugar cane fields and then making their way to us from PBC ACC. She initially came to us feeling scared and withdrawn, which is completely understandable given what she and her babies had endured. Thankfully, Lainey is now happy, healthy, and has shown us all just how resilient and forgiving dogs can be! She is incredibly sweet, wonderful with people of all ages, including children, and amazing with dogs of any size.

Ideal Home

Lainey would thrive in a home with another dog, as she truly enjoys canine companionship. Due to her breed, she has a natural prey drive, so a home without cats would be best.

Ongoing Health

Lainey has a bite record with the county shelter. The bite did not break the skin, and it occurred when the finder attempted to grab her puppies after she had already given multiple warnings that she was protecting her young. Since arriving in our care, Lainey has shown nothing but love and affection. She allowed us to handle her babies on her first day with us without any concern.

Training & Support

Lainey is house-trained, crate-trained, and enjoys car rides. She is a rockstar at adoption events and is incredibly eager to share her love and be close to her people.
